Community Bank to limit lobby access

ALBANY — Community Bank said it has begun limiting lobby access at its bank branches, following recommendations from public health agencies.

Beginning Wednesday, Community Bank closed lobbies and began conducting business through available drive-thrus. Lobby will be available by appointment only, including at those branches without drive-thrus.

ATMs and secure night depositories remain available, and customers can continue to use its online and mobile banking tools. “We believe this decision is both conservative and prudent considering the current information the CDC has provided about COVID-19” said Hal Wentworth, Community Bank N.A. senior vice president for retail banking.
